The three-hooped, ceramic mug is gently tapered at the base and is the perfect thing for a lovely, restorative cup of tea.
Every piece of Cornishware is made in a plaster mould to ensure consistency and quality throughout the making process.
When the clay is dry it’s taken out of the mould and the back stamp is applied. The ware is then individually hand-made by spinning it on a banding wheel and applying the colour by brush and a very steady hand.
Once decorated, each piece is loaded into the kiln for the first firing, this allows it to be dipped into the transparent glaze and fired again to 1130 degrees which fires on the glaze and vitrifies the clay, making Cornishware microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and oven safe (up to 225ºC) and ready to be enjoyed every day.
Do not place items on a direct source of heat, e.g. halogen burner, electric hob, or gas burner, or directly from freezer to a hot oven.
